Location #7

This section of the old original highway is called "Old Coast Highway" on most maps and Google Earth. It's a 2 mile windy stretch that connects with Alisal Rd. and loops back the the 101 freeway. It begins just north of location #6. A few years ago you could drive this entire road in either direction, but now you can only enter it from the northern entrance from the 101 freeway, or if you come over on Alisal Rd. from Solvang. In 2007, I just missed shooting the old bridge over Nojoqui creek as it had just been replaced. Before the growth of Buellton as a "service town", travelers going north would be more likely to use the Alisal Rd. route up through Solvang, and Los Olivos.

I took a lot of pictues in here. Probably too many, but I really love this stretch and I captured every foot of it. I hope you like what you see.
